Hamper project benefits 1000 Bradford Children

Hamper project benefits 1000 Bradford Children

Linda Adams, the Gateway's very own Reachout Worker, has for the sixth year coordinated a fantastic hamper project. This year the project was hosted by the Gateway Community Centre. The project will see about 300 hampers delivered to families of needy children in Buttershaw, Delph Hill, Ravenscliffe, Greengates and Woodside areas.

The hampers – which contain food, pyjamas, hats, gloves and presents for the children – are funded by money donated by the Variety Club, children’s charity Circle and the Sir George Martin Trust.

The project has been supported by volunteers from the Ravenscliffe Community Association and the local Ravenscliffe and Greengates Community. Newlands Community Association provided the use of their boardroom for storage and packing.

The project has been featured in today's Telegraph and Argus. To view the article, cut an paste the following link into your browser.
