Our ladies get their baps out!
Last Thursday our lovely trio of ladies got their baps out, alongside 5 different kinds of homemade soup.
Thankfully this is a regular event at the Gateway with our lovely ladies providing us with homemade soup and bread for £1.50 and a tasty pudding, only £1 every Thursday. Serving from 11.30am to 1.30pm, come early to avoid disappointment.

SMOKE FREE ZONE
In order to help make the centre a more welcoming place for all of our users and following recent feedback from our groups, from 1st July 2011 we have decided to make the centre a 'Smoke Free Zone'.
We hope that all of our users will understand this decision and will help us to limit smoking to outside the premises and grounds only.
New signage will be going up to help explain this decision to our users and to indicate the point at which the centre becomes a smoke free zone.
To discuss this or if we can help in any other way please contact the Gateway staff team on 636602.

Our new volunteer forum gives our volunteers a place to have a VOICE...
To come up with new ideas and activities
To involve volunteers in the running of the Centre
To feedback views and comments
To socialise and have fun
If you have any spare time and think you can help please come amd speak with Gemma, our Volunteer Co-ordinator.

The Gateway is changing...but we are here to stay!
The Gateway is a both a community centre, run by the Ravenscliffe Community Association and a Children's Centre, run by the Children's Society. Sadly, due to cuts in some of our funding the RCA has had to make three of our valued staff redundant. These changes have been very difficult but necessary to safeguard the future of the Community Centre.
We are now stable and continuing to deliver a range of family activities, community programmes and other much needed services.
We rely on help from lots of local volunteers to run The Gateway, we always need new volunteers with new ideas, if you think you can help please pop in and see us.
